Hoisting any religion’s flag on Red Fort is anarchy. It won’t do anybody any good. Farmer leaders now seem missing in action. It’s evident they aren’t in control of all groups. In their euphoria they overlooked the perils of riding a protest exploiting any religion. This isn’t the 18th Century.

  1. The Modi government is more like 18th century govts than
21th c. Its main focus is on masjids, temples etc. Farmers
seem to be replying in the same coin.

  2. Senior journalist Vijaita Singh has tweeted that this is the third time in the last one year that law and order has collapsed in the Capital. The Legatee of the President’s powers is seldom seen or heard from. During the last one year, Raj Nivas ought to have been leading the fight against the pandemic, as Governor Andrew Cuomo has been in New York. One would rate Mumbai Police higher than Delhi Police. The slanted coverage by some channels – seen also in the two months leading upto today – causes pain and anguish. It dims the prospects of a meeting of hearts, required for such agitations to conclude with shared success.

    • Its not a comment which should go unanswered, hence responding. I have sometimes read your ‘holier than thou’ comments on the message board. In this case You have tried to compare 2 police departments and given a verdict in favour of one. Delhi Police was under strict orders from the Govt not to fire on the hooligans. There were vultures disguided as journalists waiting to exploit even a single incident of any rioter being killed by police firing. These people were waiting to show the world that Modi is a Hitelr, he is mussolini, he is saddam. It doesnt matter to these people what cost the country will pay due to this anarchy being spread by them, all they want is to demonize a popular leader and elected govt. These people also have no affinity with the country. They just want to bring back their friendly forces in power so that their own privileges and money trails are restored. In such a situation, Delhi police showed tremendous, inhuman restraint. They could have just crushed these rioters, but they go beaten, injured and mobbed instead. In fact Delhi police has shown that it is perhaps the most disciplined police force in the country. Their restraint was exemplary. The slanted coverage – that you refer to – must mean NDTV? Its shenanigans over the last 2 decades have been well known. You dont have to yell to be untruthful and dangerous. You can lie with clenched teeth and put a dagger in a country’s heart! If you dont believe me, watch prime time at 9pm on NDTV everyday and see for yourself.
