A perfect storm of Covid, supply disruptions, low interest rates and Russia-Ukraine war is behind India’s eight-year high inflation. There’s very little governments can do to tame this. Except cut petrol/diesel taxes to ease the pain. But then, there are no elections on the horizon. So don’t hold your breath.
