Election Commission’s ire against J&K L-G G.C. Murmu for his comment on the timing of elections is fallacious and intriguing. EC has gone beyond its mandate to rap another constitutional functionary. It’s perfectly normal to talk about the prospect of elections in a democracy. EC needn’t have snapped at him.
