Congress-NCP’s willingness to consider propping up a Shiv Sena-led government and deny power to the BJP is opportunistic, and a travesty of the mandate. Anti-BJPism as a political strategy is impractical and myopic today. But the differences in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance so soon after results also disrespect voters.
Permanent damage to the lungs of children growing up in Delhi. A hardship posting for foreign diplomats, almost certainly off the itinerary for foreign – also domestic, for that matter – tourists. This is a recurrent health emergency which should have seen concerted action start several years ago. It should not be seen in partisan terms, for no single actor, least of all the CM of Delhi, has the complete solution.
Shri Sanjay Raut has said that if the issue was about a few more / better portfolios, including a couple in Delhi, it would have been resolved in 24 hours. Ten days after the counting of votes, the pre alliance partners, both of whom have performed below expectations – if viewed against the general election result – are not speaking to each other. A marriage so bereft of affection and trust cannot produce conjugal bliss for five years. It is better that there be clarity before the government is formed. Several possibilities have presented themselves.
