Ram Manohar Lohia’s legacy has inspired the creation of several political parties in India, the first and most prominent of which was the Janata Dal. The disintegration of the Janata Dal led to the emergence of parties like the Janata Dal (United), Janata Dal (Secular), the Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, and the Indian National Lok Dal. Lalu Prasad Yadav
He is president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, and served as Chief Minister of Bihar as well as the Railway Minister of India.
Nitish Kumar
Nitish Kumar is currently the Chief Minister of Bihar, and belongs to the Janata Dal (United).
Siddaramaiah
Siddaramaiah is the current Chief Minister of Karnataka. Though currently a leader of the Congress, he has been part of the Janata Parivar on several occasions, and has been the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka as a Janata Dal (Secular) leader.
H.D. Deve Gowda
Gowda is the National President of the Janata Dal (Secular), and was the Prime Minister of India from 1996-1997.
